Wool 2 Yarn!

Divici pre-clip

Half gone...

Voila! Divici sporting hs new shorter do!

And here is his wool spun up and waiting to become something cozy for winter!

There comes a time and a place for Angoras to be clipped, sometimes this process involves a few tears, seeing the coat we angora breeders work very hard to maintain be clipped away, but now that i can spin, clipping coats is exciting! it means i'll have new fiber to work with, and i think it is a nice way to honor the bunny and their show season. It's hard not to snicker seeing them clipped down!
Speaking of clipping, we have recently been using a new type of shear, it's a small spring loaded pruning shear. It's very sharp and the spring is very easy on the hands, the brand we use is 'Friskar' bought at many hardware stores for about $15.
I hope to have the site updated soon...

So stay tuned!
